What is the difference between RDA and AI?
RDA (Recommended Dietary Allowance) is the daily amount meeting the needs of 97 to 98 percent of healthy people. AI (Adequate Intake) is used when there is not enough data for a full RDA — still a reliable daily target. Both come from the National Academies of Sciences.
How much Vitamin D do I need daily?
The official RDA is 600 IU (15 mcg) for adults under 70 and 800 IU for adults over 70. Many researchers recommend 1000 to 2000 IU daily especially for people with limited sun exposure. Ask your doctor to test your 25(OH)D blood level.
What nutrients are vegans most likely to be deficient in?
